It’s a shame.
We give out our life stories for free, often times with 300 characters or less and now we are paying to give it out. The recent Elon Musk buy-out of Twitter, has left many in outrage over the new policies that Musk is now enforcing. The multiple screw-ups for outing Twitter Blue users, to the abrupt firing of the workforce, made Twitter what it is today. All of this can be categorized under the word, tragic.
What doesn’t help is the fact that Elon Musk is making decisions to pinch every dime out of the user. Examples of this include the different verification checks that he is implementing all the way down to the flub that was outing twitter blue users.
This is all before giving access to notorious users, Donald J. Trump and Kanye “Ye” West. Freedom of speech is a must on any social media platform, but to give a microphone to individuals who have used their platforms and fame to incite hate and villainy is downright diabolical.
With only a few weeks being at the head of the table at Twitter, Musk is more Lex Luthor than he is liberator
