In today’s digital age, social media’s role in shaping careers cannot be overstated. One young content creator’s experience exemplifies how digital platforms can propel a political journey. Meet Enjelle Mitchell (@iamenjelle), a rising content creator who centered her social media presence around the current political climate. She was previously involved in the Biden-Harris campaign (which has not shifted to Harris-Waltz) as well, and keeping people’s spirits up with her political coverage! Her content itself mainly lies within the significant influence of media, especially in politics, and social advocacy.

A Start on Fanbase

Enjelle was originally introduced to Fanbase by her father, who frequently participated in audio rooms with CEO Isaac Hayes III. Following this connection, she eventually met Isaac Hayes III at the “Economic Opportunity Tour” that current Vice President Harris had down in Atlanta, GA. This event was centered around encouraging underserved entrepreneurs and giving them access to investments that could help strengthen their business as a whole. Enjelle and Isaac had an incredible conversation surrounding content creation within the political world, which eventually led Isaac to encourage her to start creating content on Fanbase.

The Power of Content Creation

Content creation played a crucial role in this journey. “If it wasn’t for content creation, I literally have no idea where I’d be right now,” the creator noted, reflecting on the shift from a law-oriented goal to political journalism. At the end of the day, she really just wanted to help people, and social media is a huge asset when sparking movement. The ability to tell stories, amplify important messages, and advocate for causes—especially in areas like children’s safety—fueled her transition into politics.

From Social Media to Politics

Social media has been a powerful tool in this political content creator’s life. It provided a platform for connection, visibility, and career growth. We even crossed with her at major events like “Invest Fest”! Enjelle has also had further collaborations with organizations like the Propel Center. They actually banded together, and the Propel Center gave her the opportunity to work “ONE Music Fest” with them. Coincidentally, Fanbase has also started our own collaboration with the Propel Center, and is currently mentoring students from different HBCUs. In addition to aspirations of becoming a White House correspondent or holding political office, this creator remains rooted in content creation. Enjelle views social media as a key medium for journalism and political communication, ensuring accurate information reaches the masses.

Social Media’s Ongoing Influence

Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Fanbase are central to today’s media landscape, and this creator recognizes that social media isn’t going anywhere soon. “Social media has been a thing that’s literally made the lives of people,” she remarked, acknowledging how digital fame can transform lives—even other political influencers like Quentin R. Jiles (who is also on Fanbase @quentinrjiles). For young content creators and aspiring political leaders, this story serves as an example of how digital platforms can create opportunities and open doors in unexpected ways. From a dream to help communities, to shaping national politics, this content creator’s journey is an inspiration.
